Slender kernels of cultivated Minnesota wild rice cook up tender and delicious in about 30 minutes. This is the wild rice used so sparingly in commercial wild rice blends. It also has gone on Will Steiger's last North Pole expedition— he "cooked" it by soaking the rice in melted snow as the team moved each day!
