If you like split peas, you'll love this soup. Wild rice enhances the hearty flavor of this high protein pea soup, and our special herb seasonings make this a vegan delight. Meat lovers may cook with a leftover ham bone or top with crisp, crumbled bacon. Makes 2-½ quarts.
Directions: Rinse split peas and put into a pot with 10 cups water. Add remaining package ingredients. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer approximately 2 hours or until desired consistency is reached.
Crockpot: Cook on High for 4 to 6 hours, or Low 8 to 12 hours. Instant Pot: Place all ingredients in Instant Pot. Cook 50 minutes on Meat/Stew setting.
