Minnesota-grown wild rice distinguished by its uniform size, lack of broken pieces, and its unique parching method that reduces moisture content to 4%-6% versus the industry standard of 9%. Slower parching creates a finer flavored rice that yields more volume per pound. This dark rice is lightly scarified to allow faster water penetration, so cooking time is 45 to 50 minutes.
